First snow of 2012

It started snowing this morning. First snow of the year. Last year, it snowed twice, and everybody was happy and excited about it. Since snow was pretty rare here in Christchurch. This year the reaction to the snow arrival seems to be more subdued. Maybe the novelty of snow is starting to disappear.

Any case, it’s an opportunity for me to go out and take some photos. And this time I’m using my new camera, Nikon D700, but unfortunately with an old lens. Most of the photos were post edited using Aperture. Enjoy!

    Great photography!
A snowflake is one of most fragile creations, but look what they can do when they stick together!
    Hope you like it 🙂
